First day of school and I already missed my 7:00 bus just by a few seconds. I was forced to wait for the next one that would come in 10 minutes. I knew I was going to be late but luckily it was only by 5 minutes. I wish I never brought my books at all today. We just went through introductions and the syllabus for the semester.

Monday, Wednesday

7:45 am - 9:00 am ---------> ENG 22
9:15 am - 10:30 am --------> DNCE 150
11:00 am - 11:55 am -------> CHNS 101

Tuesday, Thursday

7:45 am - 9:00 am ----------> MATH 25
11:00 am - 11:55 am --------> CHNS 101

I love my schedule. :) It gives me enough time to go to work or go home and relax. I hated staying in school all the way to 2:30 and then I would get so sleepy as soon as I get home. Sleep is important but I waste a lot of time because of it. I need to do something about lunch though.

I met a really cute Japanese guy at work today. XD He came in with three other friends. As soon as I gave out my greeting, "Welcome to Tutti Frutti", he walks in, raises his fist and exclaims something in Japanese as if he were at a baseball game and his favorite team had just hit a homerun. Then he looks at me and opens up his palm and says "....hi!". SO. CUTE! XD Not just his personality, but his face was pretty cute too! X) He went to sit in the corner with his friends after paying for their yogurt and I took a glance at him and just by chance he caught me looking! I quickly looked away of course. >////< I was so sad to see him leave. I finally got off work at 6:41 and walked over to the bus stop. When the bus finally came I saw the Japanese guy catching the same bus! How shocking! I assumed he was a tourist when I first saw him so I didn't think I would ever get to see him again!

Be Advised. This is a Long Post with Blabbering.

I don't believe I ever mentioned about what happened during my cousin's visit. I felt really awkward to be with her. There wasn't really much to talk about. We spent the first few days together and with my sister, just going around the island and sightseeing.

This was taken from the last scenic point at the National Cemetary on the second day of her trip. We spent the day at Ala Moana then drove around Hawaii Kai towards Kailua and Pali. The sunset was beautiful so I took a picture of it. :)

On the fourth day of her trip we went to Dole Plantation which wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. We rode on the Pineapple train and took a tour around the garden. We finally took a drive up to North Shore and ate at Giovanni's Shrimp for lunch. I bought a hot dog. The picture above was taken at Pupukea Beach Park which we stopped at before heading home.

We also got to ride in a submarine which was quite okay. There isn't much to see in the ocean during this time of the year. My sister had a very difficult time, planning and taking her work days off so she could take our cousin around. However, turns out she wanted to go check out the clubs and bars at night so she somehow found a "friend" who went with her. I guess she enjoys spending time with that "friend" because she spent the rest of the week with him. She's an okay person, I learned a few things about mainland from her but I just don't like how she's uncosiderate. The very first night when she went to take a shower she had no towel. Why? Even I brought my towel to my trip to Florida. We had no other towels for her to use so I lent her my new, never-been-used, super cute towel. ;____; Everytime she comes home from the beach, she ALWAYS bring sand into the house so it's all over my room. When she goes clubbing and doesn't take my keys I spent the night on the computer, staying up, or sleeping in the living room so someone would be there to open the door when she comes back. Nooooo.. she doesn't give a call or anything and shows up 11:00 in the morning the next day explaining that she had spent the night at her friend's house. Plus, her uncle called my mom and asked her to give her more money (and it was a large amount) but it was already the second to last day of her vacation for who knows for what reason? She already had enough from our uncle to spend for the whole vacation. My mom had planned to give it to her but she comes home after a day with her friends just to shower (she went to the beach) and change clothes and abruptly just asks my mom for the money before she goes out to club again. Seriously? And I don't believe she asked politely either. :( The last day of her vacation she finished packing up and my sister came by to pick her up. She still had everything in my room upstairs so she went to grab it and DRAGGED her suitcase DOWN the stairs. The paint isn't that great and there's black marks on the stairs, is she really that unconsiderate? I wouldn't mind if our stairs had carpet but she made a lot of noise coming down the stairs. I celebrated as soon as I watched her enter in my sister's car.

Lately I feel like that all I have been doing is work, work, work... and sitting my butt down in front of the computer. During the orientation I thought, "there are absolutely no cute guys here at all!". I was wrong. There was a curly hair guy who I did not care for at first because I don't go for curly hair boys/men (sorry). For some odd reason we worked together a lot during the first two weeks and so I got a closer look at him and gosh, I just love his face! >.< It's very cute! I love his voice, I love his personality, I love his hair now! XD I was so obsessed over everything about him. He is a mix of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino, and Russian (I don't remember the rest) which I just love, however, he's a year younger than me. Why must all the boys I gush over about is never my age??!! (except Tavita) Now one night, I worked with two guys. Jordan (: and this new guy, Patrick. Of course, all I cared about was the fact I had the same shift as Jordan. I talked to Patrick a bit, a Mexican guy who just came from California and used to work at Tutti Frutti before. We were both going to KCC so we talked about our classes a bit and that was pretty much it. The very next night I was surprised to find out that I was working with him again. This time, I worked in the back along with Patrick. All of a sudden he just started to make sarcastic comments and jokes. I thought he was serious at first but I realized that wasn't a serious voice. He just totally showed his true colors and picked on me the whole night! I still remember his words to my other co-worker Sez, "Well, if anything goes wrong (looks over to me) .... we know whose fault it is." GRAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!  It doesn't stop there. Yesterday, I had work in the morning and after a whole week of torture of never seeing Jordan, he came in for the next shift! :D I was grabbing spoons however at the moment he walked in and just caught a sight of him when he went in the back. Then later he was looking at the new schedule and asked me "You work at 6 tonight?" I started to tell him "No.. that's tomorrow" and I guess he realized his mistake and a customer came in before we could say anymore. :( I was very happy though! He was looking at the shifts I was working at! Which made me very curious... because today I was walking towards work and slowly I saw a very, very, very familiar face and my heart screamed "JORDAN!!" Suddenly, it became one of those magical moments where everything started to disappear except for that one guy. He didn't notice me at first but then our eyes met and slowly I kind of waved first and he waved back with a weird expression on his face. I was weirded out too. Like "why the hell did I wave first for??" And I noticed he wore a white shirt so I assumed he just had work. We wore still sort of waving and walked past and I was just looking at him, staring at him until I heard a horrendous voice. "What are you doing here?" I immediately looked up to my right and saw HIM. Patrick. My first immediate thought was, GEH. Although he had ruin my beautiful yet awkward moment with Jordan, he brought my senses back together. I started panicking because all I could think after was "Patrick was there the whole time??? For a pretty tall guy (6'2" tall) all I could see was just Jordan! Now he knows I was staring at him!" Then I realized Patrick was wearing a white shirt too and so I wondered if they had just worked together. I finally ran in and I see a whole bunch of people still there. My other two co-workers, Ryan and Ashlyn got there before me then I noticed three other girls there as well. I know I wasn't going to work with them. They couldn't have had that many people work the same shift, the maximum is just 3. I finally asked Kristine who she worked with. Apparently it was just those other two girls. I told her that I thought Jordan and Patrick was working too since I just saw them. She told me that she didn't know that Patrick was here but Jordan had stopped by to get some yogurt. My heart gave a little skip. Was it just a coincidence or did he stop here when a shift was changing on purpose?? To meet up with me??? I WISH. I was totally stumped though. I didn't realize Jordan and Patrick were friends?

My boss is a super nice person. I messed up so many times but she always tells me "First time, I let you go... but next time you cannot do it again" and she's always so encouraging, saying "good job!" to everybody and she can be a fun person too. I'm very worried about my boss though. She comes to work EVERYDAY from 9 or maybe 8 in the morning till nearly midnight. She always seem so exhausted everytime I come in for my shift and I feel bad everytime she lets out a sigh or a frustrated "aaahh!!" and immediately puts her head down on the table. But today, after she had a long, private talk with one of my co-workers outside, she came back in and sat down on her chair and let out a relieved sigh and told me, "Today had too many problems, NOW I can relax because you are here. I trust you." ...........................WOW. I was just.... wowed. It's nice to know that you are someone's oasis in the hot desert they were stuck in. I just love my boss.

Although all I do is stay at home and work, I have been able to go out and celebrate two of my friend's birthdays! :) But I will stop here for now. This post is long enough.

I love my job

After years of my complaints and whines of never having a job I can finally shut up. I'm hired! I am just so grateful and super happy to have a job. I felt hopeless after applying to place after place and never getting a call or reply back. I felt even worse when I found out that Vicky (who coincidentally applied to the same place) told me she got hired. Of course, I was really happy for her but it's disappointing to know that I didn't get the job either. The next day, I had planned to go to the library but I wanted to use the computer before I went. I woke up super late and took my time to get ready. I was nearly ready but my brother had come home already from his school registration and he brought his friend whom I really dislike. They hogged the computer all day long while I stayed in my room camwhoring, waiting for them to get off. Finally, I go downstairs to get some lunch and my brother says there's a call for me.

"Hello, is this Chun-Uen?"

"Um, yes, it's Chun Yin." (Stupid me, I just blurt it out of habit)

"Oh, Chun Yin. Well, this is Tutti Frutti, congratulations! You are hired!"

OH. MY. GOD.
Apparently, she thought she had called me already but she didn't and she asked me if I could attend to the orientation which was just two hours after she called me. There were two people I recognized and a guy I wasn't sure about. He looked completely alien to me but I could recognize him by his voice. Four days later~ I went over to Tutti Frutti and started my first day of work on it's grand opening which happened just 10 minutes after my shift had begun. It is incredibly simple. Work with the cashier, make the yogurt, or take care of the toppings. Each employee is in charge of one thing but of course, we must always CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. Cleaning is my forte. FINALLY, something I can do! This job also helps me build up my social skills as well. I usually don't like to socialize with people I don't know and speak up but my boss always wants a friendly, cheerful greeting... from EVERYONE. So even if you aren't the cashier and you just happen to be in the front when a customer comes in, you have to say something. Which makes sense but during opening, there was so much people working in the front, I felt like we were scaring them with our burst of greetings. Nevertheless, I love my job.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, my cousin is coming!

OMG. My cousin is coming over... TOMORROW.

At least I found out early this morning but I'm freaking out. Simply because I did not finish cleaning my room yet and the rest of the house either! I wish they had told us sooner! I didn't even know she was going to sleeping right under me too! I'm panicking like crazy! There's just so much to do!

It's really rare for relatives to visit us or us visiting them. The last I heard from any of our relatives out-of-state was all the way back in elementary school. We don't even have close relatives here in Hawaii, we have "distant" relatives or something like that. I don't know. I just know that they are my mom's "cousins". There are conflicts between us though so we haven't been on speaking terms for years. I'm actually kind of excited for tomorrow but I'm still freaking out. I still have a lot to do.

it's.... SUMMER!!!!! :)

WOW. How should I recall all the events that has happened during the past four weeks? Too much has happened already. Drama, parties, and... GRADUATION! Yes! I am now a 2009 graduate! X) Okay, but before that, Senior Prom was a regretful event. Earlier in the week before the 24th arrived I had a terrible case of a runny nose. On the first day I had a math test and my nose just wouldn't stop running down! I took Ms. Furuya's tissue box over to my seat and constantly blew my nose. By the end of the class there was literally a mountain pile of tissues in front of me. HOW. EMBARASSING! Then every single night I would start burning up but then it dropped down the next morning. I still continued to get headaches and a horrible case of a runny nose. I don't understand why and I don't understand how but Sara started to get sick as well but she had the coughs. I was completely fine until after she told me how she was feeling because soon after I realized I had started coughing as well. I don't know if the cause came from her or it was just a total coincidence but I swear I did not start coughing until Sara started coughing. Of course, I never did get any better for prom. I actually felt okay however, a little dizzy but okay until the night came. I started burning up real badly and the fever kicked in. I felt so terrible. Not just physically but I felt terrible for just being sick that night with all my friends and especially my date. I really hoped nobody got sick because of me. Though, being sick, I never knew there was so much drama during and after prom.

After prom night I spent the rest of the days stuck at home, sick. The worst part was the bad timing. It was the LAST week of Senior failure and any important work that needs to be done and turned in. I pushed myself to go to school to practice with my ensemble too because I didn't want to let my group down and I pushed myself to go to that commencement rehearsal which just killed my voice. That was the worst possible thing ever to happen because I wanted to sing my heart out during rehearsals and graduation. My poor voice didn't heal till after graduation. >< Those days were rough, it was irritating though because I've been suffering a lot without much complaint coming out from me but I always hear people whining around me about standing up, standing in the sun, the bugs that's flying around, listening to people, blah blah blah. I felt that if they were going to complain that much during rehearsals then they shouldn't even bother going to rehearsals... or to commencement at all! And most of the time, it came from the same people with the same BIG, FAT MOUTHS. They were so loud that I couldn't pay attention to the person speaking on stage sometimes! Seriously, is it too much to just do things without a fuss? It's not like you're the one who's sick!

Just as I started to get healthy, a bunch of people got sick! :( How ironic! But I was still able to hang out with my friends. I started summer vacation at the pool with a bunch of Freshmen and my two Senior friends. :D Then window shopping at Ala Moana. We finally hit the beach on Sunday at Kailua which was totally awesome. I love it there! The sand, the scenery, and especially the waves. It was just me, Sara, and Eva and we all just couldn't leave because the waves were so relaxing and awesome. After a few days, we hiked up to Manoa Falls which was exhilirating! I love it there! Diamond Head is like nothing compared to this. The funny part was that I was quite worried about getting mosquito bites because none of us had insect repellant but I ended up getting one small bite on the leg while Sara and Eva were just covered by bumps. The end of the hike was the best though. We got to see a nice waterfall! Unfortunately, I didn't realize my camera was not charged so Eva took pictures and I borrowed this from her:

It's sooo beautiful!!! Hopefully, I can hike there again before the summer ends. :D
